Worst breakout ever?

Posted in Group:

For over the past month I have had either a bad rash in my genital area or a bad hsv breakout. Depending on the day it either itches like crazy or no problems at all. The skin around the area is red, but I can't see any lesions. I have been under extreme stress lately, and I have been told that stress can bring on an outbreak. This has been going on for over a month, I took Valtrex to see if it would help but to no avail. This is extremely uncomfortable, I've tried ointments to help with the itchiness as well as taking long baths to soothe it. Ive change my body wash to see if that was the cause, but nothing has changed if anything it seems to have spread. Can someone tell me how to deal with this, I don't know how much longer I can take this!

You need to go to the doctor ASAP and come up with a plan.

Do not assume that everything showing up down there is herpes. Could as well be a bacterial infection, yeast infection and such.

My last outbreak came with a yeast infection. The little bumps under the skin were herpes, and the burning and itching was the yeast infection.

I took the valtrex as stated on the bottle, and I'm still showing symptoms. Some days I can see small lesions, and on other days I cannot. Since its in my genital area and where it's located, could it be that I would never get past this since its reoccuring? This has been long seven weeks. What can the doctor do besides tell me to take valtrex continually until its gone?

I would def go get it check to make sure it Herpes. Yes if it is just herpes then your doc will prolly tell you to keep taking valtrex. But if it's a yeast infection or bacterial infection that is left untreated that can lead to something more serious. I have had a yeast infection and an outbreak at the same time. So def go to the doctor's asap!
