SO worried and scared!!!

Posted in Group:

I've had genital herpes for 2 years. I contacted it through an ex relationship who claimed that they didn't know. We stayed together for a while but I just recently started dating again. I've always been really careful but I drank way too much the other night and had contact with the person I'm currently dating. However, I don't remember to what extent except that there was no penetration. Now, 4 days later, the other person is starting to feel sick ("I feel like I'm coming down with something and my throat is starting to hurt"). I haven't told them that I had it because I didn't think that anything sexual would happen the way that it did. I'm so worried right now and am hoping that maybe the person I'm dating is sick because of recent weather changes and stress at work. I have no clue what to do!!! I don't think I could live with myself if I infected this person! What do I do?!

You can only get this if you have skin to skin contact with the person. It could be he is coming down with the cold. You might want to tell him sooner than later you've hsv.

You've herpes but you're not herpes.

I agree. It's time for the talk, tell him about having herpes and find out how far it went exactly....... print information for him so you know the true facts. Take care and good luck.

Ladybell and goddness are right. Communication is key. And being honest in the end is easier. Ladybell has a good idea with the printing information thing. I believe educating a person as much as you can on hsv is best, and will lessen the chances of them being frightened away. Let us know how it goes.
