Oh sweetie! If there is a place you will never be judged for having herpes it is here!! We all have it and have been through the same fear you have.

First, herpes outbreaks can appear on several places, your butt cheeks, anus area, vulva, groin, pubic bone, tighs, etc. A good portion of women will feel discomfort or have a full blown outbreak during their period. Lucky us!

This is nothing to be ashamed of. 1 woman out of 4 has it, 1 man out of 6 has it. Most men, 80%, will never show symptoms so your boyfriend may be the one who gave it to you and he has no clue he carries the virus. If you have had cold sores on your mouth it is also possible you simply auto-contaminated yourself by accident by touching your sores on the mouth, not washing your hands, going to the bathroom at the same time and ......there you go!

First thing you need to do is to go see your doctor and get tested. There are medicines that will help you keep the outbreaks under control. To get a prescription of those medicine you need an official diagnostic because your doctor won't just give you this treatment without being sure it's herpes.

Some food could be avoided like chocolate, peanuts, soda, coffee, and you can start taking natural product like lysine. Apparently it helps.

No judging here. I also have hsv 1 and I also get outbreaks on by butt. Yes it is disgusting, but what can you do? You got it, no use crying about it, it wont help the situation. You can take the medicine to suppress it, and shorten healing time of outbreaks. I hate period time too, thats when I get the blisters on my butt too. I found out end of January, and since my first outbreak it has gotten better, They are not as bad ( blisters) as the initial outbreak. I as well, never had an outbreak until my most recent boyfriend, but it is hard to say exactly who gave it to you. He should get checked. But remember things get better, good luck :)
